Terms of Use & Alpha Disclaimer

These are alpha-stage terms, not final lawyer-approved legal terms. They describe, in plain language, what you're agreeing to by using NOCAP during its experimental early-access period. Have these reviewed by qualified counsel before treating NOCAP as a finished commercial product.

1. NOCAP is experimental

NOCAP is an early-stage, experimental service. Features, scoring behavior, and availability may change, break, or be removed at any time without notice during the alpha/beta period.

2. Signals, not proof

NOCAP produces risk indicators and signals based on forensic and contextual analysis of the content you submit. NOCAP does not prove that any audio, image, video, or message is real, fake, authentic, AI-generated, or manipulated. Results reflect a probabilistic assessment of the signals we could detect at the time of the scan, nothing more.

3. No high-stakes reliance

Do not use NOCAP as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, safety, employment, or other high-stakes decisions. If you are facing a situation involving potential fraud, abuse, harassment, or a safety risk, consult the appropriate professional, platform, or authority in addition to (not instead of) using NOCAP.

4. Your responsibility for content you scan

You are responsible for the content you upload or scan with NOCAP, and for having the right to submit it. Do not use NOCAP to scan content that you do not have permission to analyze or share.

5. Recording consent reminder

If you use NOCAP's live audio scan to record a conversation or call, it is your responsibility to comply with the recording-consent laws that apply in your location (these vary — some places require the consent of all parties to a recorded conversation, others require only one party's consent). NOCAP does not verify or guarantee your compliance with these laws.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use NOCAP to:

Harass, defame, or falsely accuse a specific person based on a NOCAP result.
Attempt to overwhelm, abuse, or reverse-engineer the service (including automated scraping or bulk submission outside normal app use).
Upload unlawful content, including content that infringes someone else's rights.

7. NOCAP+ subscription / free trial

NOCAP+ may be offered as a free trial followed by a paid subscription, billed through the App Store or Google Play. 8. Disclaimer of warranties

NOCAP is provided "as is" and "as available," during an active alpha/beta period, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anomaly X Innovations is not liable for decisions made, or actions taken, in reliance on a NOCAP result, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app or website.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as NOCAP evolves. Continued use of NOCAP after an update means you accept the revised terms.
